Mission Statement

The Mission of The Arc-Dane County is to ensure that all children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families are offered the same opportunities, choices, rights, and respect due all people in our community through example, education, advocacy, support, and legislation.

Vision Statement

The Arc-Dane County will work to create opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential by creating acceptance, respect and participation in the community through advocacy, education and information. We accomplish this by encouraging active participation of membership, gaining support of communities and collaborating with appropriate local, state, and national groups.

What does The Arc-Dane County?

  • We work to assist people with disabilities and their families in solving common problems and meeting the many challenges that face children, young adults, and senior citizens with disabilities.

  • We seek to enhance public awareness and understanding of people with disabilities.

  • We work to inform our members and others of vital issues that might affect access to education, training, employment or social opportunities.

  • We create important opportunities for families and others involved in the lives of people with disabilities to learn from and help each other.
