Celebrating 65 years, The Arc-Dane County (www.arcdanecounty.org ), an advocacy organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, honored the media, volunteers, employers, caregivers, and self-advocates, including the organization’s coveted Lifetime Achievement Award, at their annual community awards banquet on Thursday, April 30 at The Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor’s Club. The Arc’s mission is to ensure the rights of all children and adults with disabilities and their families. Over 100 participants were entertained by MC Mitch Henck and saw the following volunteers receive awards for:Over one hundred participants witnessed the followingh intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
